December 2017 marks the end of a busy two years which has seen Projex involved in the delivery of over 1.5m sq ft of industrial development, including a number of key projects for two leading developers, Mountpark UK and Trebor Developments LLP.
Projex is delighted to continue its relationship with developer, Mountpark, having been appointed to advise on its joint venture with American investment firm USAA Realco, to deliver the largest speculative logistics development in Ireland.
Mountpark Logistics EU Sarl will create 1000 jobs after getting permission to develop a 40 million euros logistics and industrial hub in Dublin. Work will commence on site in January 2018 with the first phase due for completion in October 2018.
The Dublin appointment follows the successful handover of the largest new warehousing facility to be built in the UK in 2016.
The one million sq ft distribution centre was developed by Mountpark Logistics for retail giant Amazon and Projex provided project management, cost consultancy and principal designer services for the £100M project located at Coalville near J22 of the M1.
Constructed by Winvic, it was completed only 10 months after instruction and formed the first phase of a larger industrial park involving two further speculative units – a 317,000 sq ft and a smaller 65,000 sq ft facility.
Elsewhere, Projex is the appointed employer’s agent, cost consultant and principal designer for a number of schemes for Trebor Developments, which has been recognised as delivering outstanding industrial premises, having clinched a Best Project award at the 2017 Industrial Agents Society (IAS) National Awards.
Trebor’s development at Pope’s Lane, Oldbury, which involved creating a new processing facility for Steel & Alloy Processing Ltd, was named Best Project 75,000 – 250,000 sq ft.
Projex is also advising on a number of other schemes for Trebor including:
