The team at the Leeds office has been expanded with the appointment of Richard Lister as senior building surveyor and James Farnaby as building surveyor.
Both join Projex to assist on a number of new mixed use and retail contract wins, including the masterplanning and redevelopment of Solihull town centre, as well as further instructions at Trinity Leeds, where the company is advising developer, Land Securities, on a range of asset management projects.
Richard brings both consultancy and direct client experience and his early career saw him develop roles in contract admin and building surveying projects for public sector clients, working largely across education and local authority building projects. This led him into project management, allowing him to work on larger schemes for private clients on commercial developments in the industrial, commercial and retail sectors up to £25m in value.
Alongside his project management duties, Richard has continued to practice in building surveying consultancy, having undertaken a wide variety of surveying duties throughout his career, including condition surveys and void dwelling surveys on residential stock, facet surveys across a variety of healthcare portfolio and development of PPM schedules on commercial portfolios amongst others.
A graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University where he graduated with honours in 2007, James was formerly part of a capitol projects team at a York-based consultancy, where he was involved with a range of new build, refurbishment and remodelling schemes.
With experience in delivering projects and working as contract administrator for both private and public sector clients, James has key experience in a wide range of surveying and project based roles working in medical care, industrial and education sectors.
