Party Wall Surveyor for the Building Owner

Description

Projex were appointed as building owner surveyor under the Party Wall etc Act 1996 to represent the landlord of a major Solihull shopping precinct in the demolition of an existing 1960’s retail/residential building and construction of a new leisure and office development. The existing precinct building was to be demolished and the new building to have piled foundations and steel framed building constructed up to the boundary line abutting a high street bank. The original building also Projex negotiated the design and methodology with the adjoining owner’s surveyor to enable the demolition and construction of the development. A design and build project, the Party Wall Award was constantly under review and developed to prevent delay to the works whilst protecting the interest of the party wall to the bank. The works were completed in January 2017.
