We’re celebrating #BirminghamMonth (0121!) by looking back at some of our favourite local projects:
Award-winning 55 Colmore Row involved the conversion from a single occupier building into prime grade A commercial accommodation that secured three of the largest office requirements in the market in 2017 and is now home to the RICS, Pinsent Masons and Savills.
Projex worked with Birmingham-based IM Properties to carry out the £30 million renovation after initially undertaking the pre-acquisition survey.
Working with the client design team to bring forward development proposals, Projex managed subsequent planning approvals, enabling works package, and a comprehensive two stage tender process.
Once on site Projex helped deliver a complex Grade A office refurbishment involving extension, repair and refurbishment of the Grade II listed façade and banking hall.
We were also appointed to manage and review the tenant fit outs on behalf of the landlord whilst managing post completion refurbishments to create the bespoke A3 restaurant requirements at
Regarded as one of Birmingham’s best known and historic business addresses, the project was named top refurbished/recycled workplace at the tenth British Council for Offices (BCO) Midlands and Central England awards (2018).
Judges highlighted the fact that many challenges had to be overcome, including the successful incorporation of the original Victorian banking hall and existing stone facades into the finished complex.
