Various representatives from Birmingham Airport Limited were among a number of principal contractor and client representatives at a tailor-made workshop delivered by Steve Silver, senior health and safety consultant at Projex.
Covering all the latest regulations relating to CDM 2015, this was the latest in a series of free presentations delivered to a wide range of businesses in the past 12 months including Leeds Trinity University, FProp and DW Sports & Fitness.
The department is headed by Chris Thomson and is currently retained on projects ranging from small demolition site clearances to high profile developments such as Waterloo London, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, and the installation of solar panels on Landsec’s White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds.
He says: “Both clients and architects welcome the opportunity to outsource the complex issues of health & safety requirements and we are happy to clarify some of the finer details through these workshops.
“We have the experience to be able to benchmark costs and evaluate all aspects of the design and build process and can bring this to any project, whether new build, expansion or refurbishment.”
